Let’s get started!
How to Measure Your Face and Head for the Perfect Wig
For the best wig fit and style, we need to gather a few simple measurements of both your face and head.
Don’t worry, it’s quick and easy!
Face Shape Measurements
Forehead Width: Measure across the widest part of your forehead, from one side of your hairline to the other.
Cheekbone Width: Measure across the top of your cheekbones, starting from one outer corner of your eye to the other.
Jawline Width: Measure from the edge of your jaw, just below your ear, to the tip of your chin. Double this measurement to get your full jaw width.
Face Length: Measure from the middle of your hairline to the tip of your chin.
Head Shape Measurements
Head Circumference: Wrap a soft tape measure around your head, starting at your hairline and wrapping around the base of your skull.
Ear-to-Ear Across Forehead: Measure from the top of one ear to the top of the other ear, going across your forehead.
Ear-to-Ear Over Crown: Measure from one ear over the top of your head to the other ear.
Nape to Front: Measure from the nape of your neck up to the center of your forehead at the hairline.
Face Shapes
Oval: Your face is longer than it is wide, with a forehead slightly wider than your chin.
Round: Your face is about as wide as it is long, with full cheeks.
Square: Your forehead, cheekbones, and jawline are all roughly the same width, and you have a strong jaw.
Heart: You have a wide forehead and cheekbones, with a narrow chin.
Diamond: Your forehead and jawline are narrow, with wide cheekbones.
Oblong: Your face is much longer than it is wide, with a straight cheek line.
Head Sizes
Petite: If your head circumference is under 21 inches, you have a petite head size.
Average: If your head circumference is between 21-22.5 inches, your size is average.
Large: A head circumference over 22.5 inches means you have a larger head size.
